SOUTHERN ARIZONA HOME BUILDERS ASSOCIATION NAMES NEW PRESIDENT
Jessica Whyde has been named President of the Southern Arizona Home Builders Association (SAHBA). The announcement was made by Interim President Art Flagg.
Whyde has nearly 15 years experience in corporate leadership positions. She is a graduate of
Sahuaro High School in Tucson and Western State College in Gunnison, Colo., where she earned degrees in Business Administration and Economics.
She has been a senior financial analyst and auditor to Boeing's Corporate Credit Office in
Seattle, Wash.; a partner at Vaco, LLC in Tucson, Ariz.; owner of her own consulting firm; and manager of the Nationwide Settlement Services division of First American Title in Santa Ana, Calif.
Most recently, Whyde spearheaded efforts to reactivate the Tucson Chapter of the American Society of Women Accountants, a professional not-for-profit networking organization. After years of "inactive" status, the group received their official charter in April 2009. Whyde is currently president of the board of directors.
"SAHBA represents a major economic force in our community. We will be looking to Jessica for innovative ideas to help our members navigate the ever-changing homebuilding industry," says Flagg.
SAHBA, located at 2840 N. Country Club Road, is a non-profit trade organization that represents over 650 member businesses and 20,000 jobs serving the residential construction industry in Pima and Cochise counties.
