SPECIAL EVENTS AT THE 2009 SOUTHWEST BUILDERS SHOW
The New Era of Home Buying-What's Hot and What's Not
Interactive presentations by vice president of Sullivan Group Real Estate Advisors, Kenneth Perlman, and project architect at Kephart, Cindy Harvey, will help homebuilders understand how best to position themselves in today's home market. Topics covered include market statistics, key demographic information, home buyer wants and needs, and effective design solutions. Participants will also learn sustainable design ideas, tips on how to make smaller spaces live well and flex space tricks that work. Lenders, builders and developers will find this presentation useful and easy to apply in their present and future developments.
Web 2.0 and Home Builders-What's Now and What's Next
This session will provide participants with an overview of potential marketing tactics to attract today's home buyer. In 2008, approximately nine in 10 home buyers used the internet for information on home buying and one in three found a home through online searches. The experts at Santy Integrated will familiarize participants with internet marketing strategies and the latest technologies. Along with extensive knowledge of Web 2.0 tactics, Santy Integrated has worked with homebuilders such as Standard Pacific Homes, D.R. Horton and William Lyon Homes for over 15 years. Presenters from Santy Integrated include its President/CEO Dan Santy, Account Director Steve Koch, Digital Director Rebecca Seyman and Interactive Strategist April Holle.
Forecast Luncheon with Tim Sullivan
Back by popular demand, APS presents Tim Sullivan, president of Sullivan Group Real Estate Advisors, who has nearly 25 years of experience in developing growth strategies for the residential real estate market. Whether defining geographic market opportunities, conceptualizing community design or honing product, pricing and absorption potential, he has guided major homebuilding companies from inception to completion with unparalleled success. Sullivan will forecast the housing market for the coming year. With signs that the market is beginning to turn, the 2010 housing forecast will be an important one.
"It's a Jungle Out There" $2,500 Drawing
HBACA realizes it's a jungle out there and participants require a cash boost for their businesses, so the association will be conducting a door prize drawing for attendees. At the show's entrance, attendees will receive an entry card displaying the location of booths that are part of the "It's a Jungle Out There" contest. To qualify for a chance to win $2,500 cash, attendees must visit the six participating sponsor booths, getting their cards stamped along the way. To be entered into the drawing, completed cards should be dropped off at the Show Prize booth. Participants are sure to have a chance at winning and returning home with a large sum of cash.
